A bonny wee Scottie dog
This "bonny" little Wee Scottie Dog reminds me of the West Highland Terrier I had when growing up in Lincolnshire, England. Wind up this sweet little toy, and his little legs move under his "wee" skirt. He reminds me of my childhood pup, as he ran in the garden frantically chasing sticks.
- A chalkboard background provides a familiar, friendly way for me to introduce a story into the still life setting. The use of a single object gives the piece a minimalist feel and highlights that item.
The use of the string motif not only adds to the composition’s humor, but also helps guide the eye up and down the image.
- All Richard Hall prints are limited edition and hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
